Features
Why Choose Zadar as Your Charter Base?
Direct Access to Kornati National Park
This is Zadar’s main advantage. You are just a few hours’ sail from the entrance to the Kornati archipelago, a world-famous nautical labyrinth of 89 islands and islets. No other major base gets you there faster. Few places in the Mediterranean feel this wild and untouched.
Easy, Stress-Free Sailing Conditions
Short distances between islands, sheltered waters, and simple navigation make this region ideal for relaxed cruising. It’s especially well suited for families, first-time charter guests, or anyone looking for an easygoing week at sea.
Nature-Focused & Crowd-Free Experience
Compared to busier southern routes, northern Dalmatia offers quiet bays, small fishing villages, and authentic local konobas. Perfect for travelers seeking tranquility, swimming, and time in nature rather than nightlife.

Zadar Yacht Charter FAQs
How far is the Kornati National Park from Zadar?
Zadar is the closest major charter base to the Kornati. You can typically reach the southern entrance of the park in just 2-3 hours of sailing, making it easily accessible for a day trip or as the first stop on your week-long charter.
Do I need a special ticket to sail in the Kornati?
Yes. To sail and anchor within the Kornati National Park, you must purchase a valid entrance ticket. It is significantly cheaper to buy this ticket online in advance (which we can help you with) rather than buying it inside the park from a patrol boat.
Is Zadar suitable for a first-time sailing holiday?
Absolutely. While the Kornati requires careful navigation (perfect for a skippered charter), the waters around Zadar are generally calm in summer, and the proximity of islands like Ugljan and Pašman offers many safe and beautiful anchorages perfect for families or beginners.
How do I get from Zadar Airport (ZAD) to the marina?
Zadar’s main marinas (like Marina Borik or Marina Zadar) are very close to the city, about a 20-25 minute drive from Zadar Airport (ZAD). We can easily arrange a private transfer for you, or you can take a taxi or airport shuttle.
