Having an expert captain who knows the Adriatic’s specific winds and secret anchorages allows you to relax completely. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to “learn the ropes” and sharpen your skills under professional guidance.
Where does the skipper sleep on the yacht?
The skipper requires their own separate cabin on board. When choosing your yacht, it is important to ensure the layout accommodates your entire group plus a dedicated berth for the captain. This guarantees privacy for your party and ensures your skipper is well-rested to manage the vessel safely.
Are we responsible for the skipper's meals and provisions?
Yes, the charterer is responsible for the skipper’s food. You can either include the captain in your onboard meal planning or provide a standard daily meal allowance for them to eat ashore. Your skipper can often recommend the best local markets and “konobas” (traditional restaurants) to source the freshest ingredients.
Can we participate in sailing the yacht or are we just passengers?
You can be as involved as you like! Our professional skippers are happy to have you “join the crew” during maneuvers or help with the sails. Whether you want to take the helm under supervision or simply relax with a drink while we handle the navigation, the experience is entirely tailored to your preference.
